Terra. is a web app that was created by four girls as a final project for their Girls Who Code summer program. This web app allows a user to explore the cultures and current events of different regions through a realistic, interactive globe. When a location is selected the top news stories from that region will be presented along with a live Twitter feed, an Instagram feed, and a culturally specific Spotify playlist.
I worked as a front end web developer on Terra. UI placement, API implementation, and product design were three of my main additions to this project. This project was selected as one of five winning projects, out of 200 submissions, for the #BUILTBYGIRLS challenge in 2015. It also won a $1000 mentorship.
